Crack Behavior of Ni60A Coating Prepared by Laser Cladding on a Tilted Substrate

Almost all of the research on cracks in laser cladding is based, at present, a horizontal substrate, which cannot be directly applied to prepare high performance coatings, especially hardness tilted substrate. In this work, influence substrate’s tilt angle crack behavior Ni60A coating studied, based intensity distribution and energy attenuation models Results show that cracking rate (the number unit’s length) increases with increasing substrate angle, but has no significant mechanism. The different lap direction certain crack, prepared by downward larger due greater loss. Furthermore, residual stress decreased plastic flow, fracture strength decreases dilution rate, results increase coating. This work will broaden application technology repairing complex parts such as gear blades.
